Why Do I Need a Tire Rotation?

As we all know, our vehicles do not maintain themselves. If we want to get the best level of performance out of our vehicles, we have to be practical and ensure that we get all of the proper vehicular maintenance performed on a regular basis. One of the most important maintenance items that we cannot afford to neglect is to take our vehicle in for a periodic Tire Rotation. There are several important reasons why a Tire Rotation is vital to the overall performance of your vehicle; read on to find out what they are.

Better Gas Mileage

Keeping your tires rotated will ensure that the ravages of road friction won't reduce the quality of your tires' performance, which will in turn negatively affect your gas mileage. Something as simple as a tire rotation can make a world of difference in terms of improving the fuel efficiency of your car or truck.

Better Performance

Rotating your tires on a regular basis will ensure that they get an even amount of wear. This can really help towards improving the stability of your ride, and can alleviate unpleasant driving conditions such as vibrations, or the car incessantly pulling to one side.

Better Tread Life

It’s no secret that for most vehicles, the front tires tend to wear down quicker than the back tires due to the added stresses of steering and taking the brunt of most of the road conditions - good and bad. Your front tires also bear the majority of the engine's weight, which can accelerate tread wear over time as well. If you get your tires rotated on a regular basis, you can ensure that all four tires maintain an even rate of tread wear, so that you won't have to go out and buy two tires prematurely while the other two tires still have a good amount of tread left. Keeping your tires rotated regularly will ensure a longer tread life for all four tires, not to mention the fact that it's much a safer way to go.

*Always check your owner’s manual for your vehicle model’s specific instructions before attempting any type of vehicle repair.
